Using the search box
You can search the Putting Essex People First information gateway in several ways, the quickest and simplest is to type words or phrases in the search box that appears in the top right hand corner of the screen.
Type words or phrases into the box to search for subjects, for example adaptations or places, such as Maldon.
Searches can be for single words or you can search for phrases, by using quotes ("), for example "lunch clubs".
A quick way to searching for words on a similar topic that have the same beginning is to type in the first few letters and then type * (asterisk). Eg. typing hous* will find housing, household and house.

Clicking this link will open a page offering a more specific range of searches. Once the page is shown use the Help Button on the left hand bar to find out more.
Using the headings on the left hand bar
Clicking any of the headings in the left hand bar, for example, Care and carers or Councils in Essex, will open a page containing specific information, Online services and Links related to that topic.
In some cases more specific pages are available from each topic.

Clicking any of the headings in the Links boxes will take you directly to the named web site.

Use these pages to find out which organisations deliver the services you need, then follow the links to the home page of that organisation. If the service is delivered by a local council you will need to choose the right one for your area from the list provided.
Scroll through the A-Z list of services until you find the one you want, or alternatively click on a letter of the alphabet to jump to that part of the list. For example, click on c to find carers.
